Big thank you to Huntly drivers who went all the way up north to help make the two days racing more exciting, nothing like a field of stockcars to get the crowd going. Awesome team !!!!!! Seeyas all next season.

Update : 31st March 2007: Alex Gillan Memorial Trophy Huntly.

First off I would like to once again point out what an AWESOME club Huntly Speedway is. It is very professionally run, the atmosphere is overwhelming, the members are polite, and friendly, it is a pleasure to know that Darcy and Mal have now made it there home track. Now for the best news.....

1st race of the night, Darcy on 2, arse on suck, hoping to make the first corner, chased 21H around track for about 4 laps before Hutch put him into the wall giving Darcy the chance to put foot on the gas and go like the clappers, giving him first place for the night and taking out The Alex Gillan Memorial Trophy. What a race, his car handled well and he drove exceptionally well...Very proud moment for Darcy, Mal, Pit Crew and of course Mum.

2nd race Started on 10 and came second another awesome race. Blew a radiator hose in the pits, fan not working and broken steering mount. Thanks to Nigel's young eyes he found a wire off, so car was fixed to go out in next race.

3rd race One lap and it was time to pull into the in field with  the temp gauge on high. never mind it was an awesome nights racing.

Special thanks to Callum Mcleods pit crew for helping Darcy's crew put radiator hose back on, and to all drivers on the track for awesome racing.

!!!!!!!!Update: 17th March 2007: Northland Champs at Finlayson Park Dargaville

1st Race.... Even though there was only a few cars it was a good race with Darcy coming in 3rd place.

2nd Race...1½ laps in front of everyone else, while avoiding hitting two cars reversing across the track, Darcy's two wheels went on the grass as he passed, Clerk of the course (NO NAMES MENTIONED) relegated Darcy back to 2nd place. What a load of crap, when in just about every saloon car race the drivers were passing on the grass.. My theory is this..

Darcy's brother Nick left Dargaville and moved to Taupo, when he comes back for the two day meet, he races hard and takes out alot of the prizes, you can guarantee "Mr Clerk of the Course" always black flags him for something, now Darcy has moved to Hamilton and goes back to Dargaville to race and does really well, he is getting the flack as well.  Clerk of the course was approached by Darcy and by vice president of the club regarding this matter, he said the decision was final and Darcy was told to piss off, how professional is that. "NOT" Darcy decided it was time to put car on trailer and head back to Hamilton, but Andrew Drinnan talked him into staying and racing and he went out in the 3rd race and kicked arse once again. He got 3rd in the Northland Champs.

Congratulations to Andrew Drinnan and Peter Clarke for taking out first and second place.

"Mr Clerk of the Course" rules are made for everyone not just who you choose to pick out of the hat for the day.

!!!!!!!Update:10th March 2007: Waikato Stockcar Champs

1st Race, 2nd lap...Broke second gear selector and jammed in gear. Thanks to Nick (brother) and Tony for replacing the gearbox to be able to race in the second race. Thanks to Tony for doing a Jessie Owen and racing to ask Red to hold the gate, thanx Red for that.

2nd Race....Drove Hard

3rd Race...WAIKATO CHAMPS FINAL

Started on grid no 27 (30 starters) battling with Auckland cars, finishing 14th place overall.

Congratulations to the Auckland Drivers who took out first 6 places. Awesome racing.

!!!!!!!!Update: Friday 16th & 17th February 2007: New Zealand Champs Waikaraka Park

Please note that Darcy is 818 H for the Champs

Friday night was qualifying rounds. First Round Darcy was on grid position 21 and worked his way up to 13th place. 2nd Round, grid position was 10 and dropped to 15th place. 3rd Round grid position was 5 and while he was in 5th position he decided to take on the wall and rolled.

All in all the racing performance from Darcy, Bevin and Glen was awesome.

Saturday night was finals, the cars that didn't qualify had consolation races. Darcy raced well in all three rounds.  Bevin ceased an oil pump which put him out for the night, and Glen missed the second race.

The two day meeting was a good experience for all three drivers who will be back again next year.

Darcy, Bevin, and Glen would like to thank Andrew Drinnan for the use of his Auckland based workshop. Thank you to all the pit crews and all the supporters that went to Auckland to support them.

!!!!Update: Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th January:

Saturday s aw Darcy at Whangarei along with Bevan and Andrew for the second round of the Northland Champs, unfortunately the weather turned to custard , so not much was happening there. Sunday was club day at Finlayson Park Dargaville, and even though there was only three stockcars fun was had by all.  Azza had a go in Darcys stockcar, and I think you will find he will stay with the Production grade. As Darcy and Bevan will be racing at the New Zealand Standard Stockcar Champs at Waikaraka Park ,playing around at the local track gives them an opportunity to check out there cars and get them right for that big meet. Next meeting for Darcy will be the Two Day Meet at Finlayson Park Raceway in Dargaville, which is the 27th & 28th January, should be some action there, heard a wee rumour there may be a few stockies coming to race. Then the weekend of 15th,16th & 17th February are the New Zealand Champs. Best of Luck Darcy, Bevan and Glen for that. Hope I can make it to the next two meetings....

!!!!!Update: Saturday 6th January Waikaraka Park International Speedway.

A dream Darcy has had since he was 13 to race at Waikaraka Park and he did. What an awesome meeting Darcy, Glen and Bevan got through the three rounds. In the first race Darcy took the lead and held the rest of the cars off for four laps before someone backed across the track, but that was okay, the rest of the race was a minter. Race two there were times we thought Darcy wouldn't finish as he had clutch problems, but he hung in there and a good show of driving skills and performance was shown by all. Race three even though Darcy could only select third gear it was a dam awesome race, heaps of crashing, and carnage, Glen had a car pinned on the wall, the spectators loving every minute of it. Well done Darcy, Bevan and Glen and well done to all Standard Stockcar drivers who put on a great show!!!!!!!! Photos below

!!!!Update: Saturday 6th January folks you will see Mad Ox racing at Waikaraka Park in Auckland . Fellow team mates Bevan and Glen will also be racing. Lets hope all goes well. Will keep u all posted with the update and new photos!!!!

!!!!!Update: 31st December 2006.. Huntly Speedway.. One race and  the meeting was called off due to the weather...NEVER MIND that's racing you take the lows as well as the highs..!!!!! Photos below

!!!!Darcy will be at Huntly again on 31st December 2006, unfortunately Mum wont be there this time (bugga) but Mallorey (Darcy's wife) will keep in contact with me during the racing. Thank God for texting!!!!

!!!Update: 16th December 2006..Huntly Speedway.!!!..It's going to happen soon folks, Darcy will get  a whole race meeting done without any hiccups, but realistically he is still setting up his new car he built, so things are going to turn to shit, I guess, and they did again on Saturday....1st race was awesome, he did really well , but near the end of the second race he blew his diff, so that put him out for the next race. His team mates Bevin and Glenn ending up sitting out the last race as well, so he wasn't on his own.

But hey if you haven't had the opportunity of going to Huntly Speedway, MAKE THE TIME, awesome racing, the atmosphere at the track and in the pits is awesome, professional, but friendly.

Lets introduce you to  important  people in Darcy's world of racing.

MALLOREY, Darcy's wife who supports his passion of racing 100%++++ ,and is one of his main sponsors, he couldn't do it without her, and she cant wait to move to Hamilton, less travelling aye Mal.

AARAN, Azza is one of Darcy's brothers as you will know from The Brothers Four page. He has been involved with the building of Darcy's car from the beginning and has helped Darcy out immensely when time has allowed, as he has other commitments LIKE building a B GRADE?

Tony Gosnell, not only is he Darcy's brother in law and best friend of 12 years, he is also Darcy's right hand man ,head pit crew mechanic, head gopher (cause he knows what he is doing) and head comic of the crew, which helps out when the going gets rough, and the spanners start flying, he holds us altogether with his wit..

ANGELA JOHNSTON, Darcy's sister, who puts us up at her house when Darcy is racing, supports and sponsors Darcy, and supports Tony in all that he does to help out.

David, aka Nige, new boy on the block, general dogs body is our Nige and junior mechanic, puts up with alot of shit, from us all, but getting to know our sense of humour. Good on ya Nige.
